VAT relief on Frontier mobility scooters

Can I buy a mobility scooter without paying VAT?

Many of our mobility scooters can be supplied at 0% VAT rather than the standard 20%, where they are for a disabled or chronically sick person, or for someone who is terminally ill, and for their own personal or domestic use. HMRC calls this VAT relief, or zero-rating. There is nothing to arrange beforehand — when you place your order we will ask you to complete a short VAT relief declaration, and a family member, carer or responsible person can complete it on behalf of the person using the product. We keep it with our VAT records, so you do not need to send anything to HMRC yourself.
