Wheelchair Bags & Accessories
A good wheelchair bag does one simple thing: it keeps your keys, purse, phone and shopping within reach, without anything sitting on your lap. Every bag on this page is made to attach to a chair rather than hang off a shoulder, so nothing digs in and nothing has to be lifted on and off.
Choosing a bag for your wheelchair
- Bags for the chair itself — roomy and made from waterproof fabric, so shopping and coats stay out of the way and stay dry. They suit most transit wheelchairs and self-propelled wheelchairs.
- Crutch and walking stick bags — a long, narrow holder so a stick or a pair of crutches travels with you instead of being carried. A sensible companion to a walking stick.
- Powered chairs — if you use a powered wheelchair, a specialist under-seat pouch is often the better fit.
Prices start at £22.99, and most of our bags are universal, so they can be used with all wheelchair types — including the wheelchairs we sell. On a scooter instead? See our mobility scooter bags. Wheelchair accessories FAQs
Why do I need a specific wheelchair bag instead of a regular backpack?
Why do I need a specific wheelchair bag instead of a regular backpack?
Standard backpacks are designed to sit directly against a person’s back, not a chair. If you use a regular bag, it might feel uncomfortable or even rub awkwardly on the side of your wheelchair. A wheelchair specific bag is much shorter, featuring specially designed loops that will secure it in place without interfering with your wheelchair’s stability.
Can I use wheelchair bags on manual and power wheelchairs?
Can I use wheelchair bags on manual and power wheelchairs?
Most of our wheelchair bags are universal and can be used with all wheelchair types, however, if you have a powered wheelchair, you might want to look for a specialist under-seat pouch. Almost all of our bags use adjustable straps or elasticated loops for easy attachment.
