This product is designed with the outdoors in mind as such the power chair can handle being used in slightly wetter condtions however long periods of exposure to moisture will result in negative effects on the power chairs performance and working. The motors can be disengaged for manual pushing however please understand due to the products weight and intended use there will be more resistance than a standard wheelchair. Hello, No folding powerchairs are crash tested, crash tested products are bespoke items. This product can be folded to go into a car, an attendant control kit can be fitted which removes the joystick from the armrest and assembles to the rear of the product for a carer to operate. Kind Regards, Team Easy Living.
Additional Information
We are looking for a wheelchair that will ride over kerbs and be able to be used on non paved surfaces for a 8 stone male with PMLD. The control would have to be done by the attending carer and the wheelchair would have to be transportable with the occupant in place in a WAV (Wheelchair Accessible Vehicle) or a Care Home Minibus with floor rails for the Unwin restraint system. We would need a head-restraint fitted and if Attendant controlled brakes were available for downhill slopes that would be great. The carer would only be using the motor to make life easier in use of the wheelchair.
